Support the Field Security Support Officer (FSSO) with Daily Check-in of International IOM staff head counts and report to the CoM and all others concerned the detailed result of the count. In coordination with the OSS Administrative Assistant, maintain a close relationship with all IOM Ukraine’s Security Service providers and ensure that the conditions stipulated in their contract are being respected by the providers as well as overseeing that payment to them is processed in due time. In coordination with the NFSA, regularly review and monitor compliance on the Security Risk Management Measures (SRMM) and Residential Security Measures (RSM). This includes proactively participating in the Security Cell Meetings and actively providing guidance to the COM on issues raised in the SMT, ensuring that IOM-specific operational requirements are considered for implementation of security measures and adherence to the UNSMS Policy on Gender Considerations in Security Management. In coordination with the NFSA, develop, implement and test office-specific security plans. Closely monitor and report on deployment numbers (staff ceilings) established for the mission/s by the UN Designated Official (DO) during emergencies, in coordination with the Security Management Team (SMT) and UNDSS, ensuring that security clearance procedures are applied fairly, vis-à-vis all of the agencies working under the UNDSS Security Management System. Test the functionally and implementation of IOM-specific emergency communications systems (SCAAN) to ensure they are functional, effective and address the programme requirements of the Country Office. This includes actively checking the SCAAN dashboard and posting relevant security advisories in a timely manner. In coordination with the NFSA, report security matters that have a direct impact on IOM operations immediately to the COM and the RFSO. In coordination with the FSO and the NFSA, conduct preliminary enquiries in respect to any security breaches/incidents in all DS, working closely with local authorities in efforts to ensure IOM staff, its assets and interests are protected, and appropriate and corrective measure taken. Coordinate response to incidents with personnel, assets, or beneficiaries in the IOM premises by third-party security providers. Assist with liaison or directly liaise with local law enforcement bodies and emergency medical teams as instructed by the Security Officer. Respond to the complaints or recommendations provided by the management of the relevant offices and communicate the information to the Security Officer for potential implementation of the changes, developed security measures or procedures. It would be great (preferred but not required) if you have an understanding of how to use OpenAI's GPT-4 API, including embeddings, fine-tuning, and more. Security: Skills and knowledge related to cybersecurity best practices would be helpful. Security will be important to many of our projects. English: You will need to be able to communicate in English fluently enough to discuss complex technical topics. Technology skills: JavaScript: Strong expertise is required. You should have experience building complex apps in JavaScript.  Node.js: Not required, but preferred.  Either React or Angular: It’s ideal if you are familiar with one of these, but neither are required.  Database management :  At a minimum, you should have basic knowledge of SQL.  Ideally, you have some experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases. However, deep expertise is not required in either.  RESTful APIs .   For example, some projects will require the use of APIs like Microsoft Graph API and QuickBooks Online API . However, you don’t need to have prior experience with those specific APIs. Most APIs we’ll use are secured using OAuth, so you should be familiar with OAuth. Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hosting services and data storage. At least a little experience with at least one of these platforms is required.  Other preferred (but not required) skills: Shell scripting Git for version control, etc. Any automation and/or integration experience with Microsoft Office 365, or Zoho, or Google Workspace. Important: Recruitment for this post in the General Service category is done on a local basis. As a result, staff are generally recruited from the area in which the particular office is located but could be of any nationality. Organisational Context Country Offices are time-bound and scalable staging posts for the Court’s operations in the situation countries, offering office space, vehicular support for missions and communications material and tools. They are also a source of information for Headquarters in terms of socio-political and security developments in the situation countries. Country Offices develop and maintain relationships with key partners on the ground in order to assist various Court actors in the execution of their roles in the field. Country Offices are organizationally located in the Division of External Operations (“DEO”) of the Registry. The DEO is responsible for managing the activities of the ICC Country Offices through proper guidance, which requires coordination, anticipation, planning and monitoring. The interaction is based on effective communication between DEO and the Chief of Country Office, which entails obtaining, processing and disseminating relevant information in a timely manner. The Division supports the Chief of Country Office in their interaction with external actors with the aim of ensuring cooperation between the parties. Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Chief of Country Office, the Driver serves as chauffeur for Country Office staff and ICC staff on mission. The Driver provides this service during normal working hours and unsociable hours, as required. The incumbent will perform the following duties: Carry out daily inspection of ICC vehicles; check all oil, water/coolant, tyres, fuel and windscreen washer fluid levels; cleaning the exterior and interior of vehicles; Drive staff members safely to various destinations, as required; Collect and drive VIPs and visiting staff between the Office, hotels, railway station, border, airport or other destination as requested; Assist in collecting and delivering documentation/goods when required; Participate in confidential ICC operations related to witnesses and victims; Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Chief of Country Office.
