He/she is responsible for support and advice of the 2 national rehabilitation officers so that they properly achieves their technical activities.  YOUR RESPONSABILITIES Responsibility 1: Provides guidance and technical support to projects in accordance with the overall technical frameworks and standards within the rehabilitation sector.  Provides appropriate rehabilitation technical and pedagogical guidance and support to project manager and field staff  Ensures that the project activities are implemented according to internal quality and technical standards and proposes adjustments or improvements if necessary.  Adapts project documentation as required in accordance with global rehabilitation technical norms and standards including the International Classification of Functioning and the human development model.  Contributes to the regular reporting of the rehabilitation activities (collection and analysis of the technical data collected) in conjunction with the project team and the MEAL team.  If relevant, ensures coordination and collaboration with the technical partners of the project as delegated by the project leader.  Supports capacity development of national rehabilitation staff through assessments, mentoring, supervising and training.    Responsibility 2: Provides technical learning from projects.  Collects the elements necessary for any planned capitalization or scientific documentation exercises.  Provides reports and reflections on all training sessions that are implemented, to contribute to technical learning.  Contributes to rehabilitation technical learning under the responsibility of the specialist based on good practice.  Contributes to the terms of reference for evaluations.  Implements recommendations for improving the technical quality of the rehabilitation components of projects.    Responsibility 3: Contributes to the animation of the rehabilitation sector.   Contributes to recruitment.  Contributes to the necessary rehabilitation technical training.  Contributes to the skills upgrading plan for rehabilitation professionals.  Can contribute to the development of a local rehabilitation talent pool within its sectoral perimeter. We are seeking a Superintendent - Smelter Power Operations (SPO) for one of our esteemed clients for multiple locations in the Middle East. Must Have: Extensive experience in Primary Aluminium industry with high, medium, and low voltage systems and with rectifiers. Job Summary: The Superintendent of Smelter Power Operations (SPO) will be responsible for rectification and distribution of power received from the Power Plant to the Smelter. This role is the highest authority for electrical isolation and lockout in the Smelter and holds the authority to make decisions for all electrical aspects of Plant Operations. And will have complete control, responsibility, and accountability for the company's power distribution. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize and control the Area Operations to safely deliver a smooth, uninterrupted power supply. To oversee the complete operations and maintenance of the smelting area. Plan the Area work schedules. Re-plan to address contingencies (eg: changes in Departmental priorities). Consider upstream and downstream needs and impacts. Lead the Area maintenance function, including predictive, preventative maintenance and break-down repairs to ensure reliability and availability of power supply to the Smelter. Ensure to deliver a safe work environment. Develop the EHS systems - lead the teams to: (1) undertake root cause analysis of accidents or near misses and take the necessary action to mitigate risk; (2) review the EHS plan and formulate proposals for improvement; (3) execute projects to drive excellence in EHS. Constantly required to make decisions about safety and operational priorities. Lead the teams to execute programs to reduce resource usage (eg: energy, compressed air) and enhance environmental outcomes. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience with recent 5 years in a supervisory role is mandatory. Should have strong experience in working with high, medium, and low voltage systems. Extensive experience and understanding of the work of the Smelter Area and the Department. Extensive experience with rectifiers and knowledge of the equipment and safety requirements. Strong managerial experience is required. Should have well-developed communications skills, be able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment, and to lead emergency response.
