The incumbent will assist in the successful implementation of the activities intended to reinforce IOM policy and external capacities as a key stakeholder in the implementation of the UN Reform, as well as in the global governance of migration, and ensure that migration is duly considered in relevant national crisis response and development frameworks. Core Functions / Responsibilities:Keep daily track of evolving security situation in Ukraine and impact on population movements, humanitarian response and recovery efforts and planning, Government decisions and new legal acts, policy changes, to support the National Policy & Liaison Officer in reflecting all information and analysis in weekly Situation Update. Contribute to the IOM mission support to the Government of Ukraine in developing as well as advancing policies (strategies, action plans, roadmaps, etc) in the area of migration governance, emergency response and early recovery, as well as in mainstreaming migration into sectorial policies; this will entail providing technical as well as administrative support  to organize consultative events jointly with the Government authorities and other stakeholders; revising various drafts of policy documents and providing specific feedback; etc Support and assist the PLU in liaising with relevant authorities, United Nations (UN) agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders on various migration management issues, also in the context of humanitarian response. Support the National Policy and Liaison Officer with the coordination of IOM Ukraine participation in 19 Sectorial Working Groups established by the Government as part of the International and Technical Assistance Mechanism; this will entail collecting bi-weekly updates from each working group, highlighting contributions that IOM needs to provide; arranging internal consultations on particular areas of concern/or interest, etc. Assist the mission efforts in performing activities related to integrating and mainstreaming migration in the various development frameworks such as the drafting of the Country Common Analysis, provision of inputs to the various drafts of the new UN Cooperation Framework, etc. Provide general administrative support to the Unit for policy related initiatives such as preparation and organization of conferences, meetings, trainings, and other events, drafting correspondence, briefing notes, presentations and other forms of documentation, supporting the Unit in contracting consultants and other service providers.
